For renew the passport need to carry only documents which is attached whit the online application form.

For example if with the application form ADHAR CARD is attached then only ADHAR CARD need to carry to the passport office. In case any other document attached with a application form then need to carry other documents also.

In case of address is change then need to carry new address proof also. For that can use bank passbook which is in use. Or can use electricity bill.

Rest have to carry old passport because they put cancel stamp on it and give return to you. And if have any valid visa one it remain same till visa expiry. Need to carry both new and old passport for visa.

Also no need to take a printout of appointment copy. SMS can accepted for the passport office entry.
