D G Shipping (NVC) MEO Class 4 Exam Procedure

MEO class 4 (NCV) near costal Voyages procedure is as follows:

• Scrutiny of satisfactory completion of sea going service by Assessment Center as per                                                     documentary proof contained within the testimonial and C.D.C.  (Documents assessment in D. G. Shipping)

• Completion of approved three months post sea course and three advance safety training courses. (Three months engine room simulation course in D G Shipping approved college)

• Satisfactory completion of structured on board training by assessment center is as per documentary evidence contained in the approved training and assessment record book

• Satisfactory completion of written and oral exam and assessment in the following function.

  PART “A”

          Function: Marine Engineering at a Operation level

          1. Marine Engineering Knowledge (General)       (One Paper of three hours)
          2. Marine engineering Knowledge (Motor)           (One Paper of three hours)

 

          Function: Maintenance and Repair at a Operational level

1.     Marine Engineering Practice                            (One Paper of three hours)

 

 

Function: Electrical, Electronics and Control Engineering at a Operational level

1.           Marine Electro Technology                                   (One Paper of three Hours)

 

Function: Controlling Operation of Ship and care for person on board at a                operation level

1. Ship Construction and Stability,                            (One paper of three hours)
    ship safety, environment protection

Part B will be the Oral exam is based on all function mentioned in part “A”
